GCC can be described in one word:
FAMILY!!
I know, I know... a lot of churches SAY that, but our visitors say that they really do feel like family when they come in the door. Most of us at GCC feel like we just don't fit anywhere else, we've even heard folks say, "I feel like a misfit at other churches."
At GCC we are not concerned with what you wear, how troubled your past was, or your doubts. GCC was originally launched because we wanted to create a church that was as close to the New Testament model as we could possibly get today. We wanted raw Christianity and we wanted a group of folks who genuinely loved the Lord and cared for one other.

Our mission at GCC is to be a place where no-one feels like they need to wear a "mask." We endeavor to be authentic believers doing our best to live as God calls us to live, and honestly, failing sometimes. Many of our folks have been hurt by a church/leadership in the past or just grown frustrated with misplaced priorities. The bottom
The bottom line is, we just want to walk closer to God and each other. We strive to always give the same grace we desire. We have a saying at GCC, "Go slop some Jesus on people." In other words, we are to be so full of God's love and grace that it spills (slops) out of us onto others. It's a simple mission, but if we can live it out, we'll change the world.

We frequently come together to give furniture, household goods, food, clothes and many other items to one another in times of need. Most of us are not wealthy families that have a lot of extra to give, but we are a church family that gives wholeheartedly to one another, even in the midst of our own trials. Our church even came together
We frequently come together to give furniture, household goods, food, clothes and many other items to one another in times of need. Most of us are not wealthy families that have a lot of extra to give, but we are a church family that gives wholeheartedly to one another, even in the midst of our own trials. Our church even came together and purchased a used car for a young lady who was in desperate need.
You will often see "adoption" in our church. Often times we will have a young man or woman who has come from a terrible family environment, or has a very broken past, and they come to us and find spiritual mothers and fathers in the GCC family who "adopt" them.
When we come together as a church family, we're more concerned about each other, rather than getting through a service order. We do have a "structure" to our services, but we're absolutely fine with that being changed when the Holy Spirit leads us to do something else. We're not unorganized, but more organic in our gatherings.
If this sounds like something you might be looking for, give us a try. We're not everyone's cup of tea, but we are a refreshing drink to many.
You are always welcome here.

Rob Stream is our lead pastor. Rob, along with his wife Lisa, stepped into the lead role in the fall of 2021.
Rob is a graduate of Liberty University and was a youth pastor for 18 years, thus his “youthy” preaching style. Rob and Lisa love opening their home to their church family and regularly have fire pit nights where everyone is welcome to come hang out. They’re just authentic, regular folks who love leading the same at GCC.

David is our Family Pastor. He started at GCC in 2019. David and Terri Prewitt have been married for 28 yrs and have been biblical counselors for 15+ years.
David is certified in SYMBIS and Prepare and Enrich and Terri is certified in Prepare and Enrich. David and Terri are Liberty Alumni; David has a BS in Religion and in Psychology, he also has an MDiv. in Pastoral Care and Terri has a BA in History and Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling. David has been a pastor for over 20 years, and both Terri and David have experience in lay ministries as well as in the for-profit and non-profit worlds. David and Terri love to open their home for dinners and small group, couples or individual counseling, and mentoring.

Serving in children's ministry since the age of 12, Kelli has always had a heart to share Jesus with kids. She believes that children should be taught in the ways of Christ from a young age, and implements that into Sunday lessons, as well as encouraging parents to be involved with their kid's faith in Jesus.

Our Deacons are dedicated to serving our congregation and community. Terri, Michael, and Ken all love GCC with a passion and are always ready to serve with heart's of readiness for the Lord.
